CARDRONA, New Zealand - September 7, 2008 - After winning the season ending World Cup Finale in Valmalenco, Italy last March, Screamer Team Rider Crispin Lipscomb opened the '08-'09 pre-Olympic season back on the podium, this time with a halfpipe bronze medal to add to his growing collection. "I'm stoked to open up on the podium," said Lipscomb. "Things were really starting to click for me toward the end of last season and after winning in Valmalenco I was sorry to see the season end - felt like I had the best feel for the snow that I've ever had. I put in a lot of work this summer to try to carry that over, so it's a great confidence booster to come out here and open up the season with that same feel. One of my goals for this season is the overall World Cup title. I want to be a consistent factor in every event... so come next season, when the world comes to Canada for the Olympics I'll have it all dialed in." "Once again Crispin has made us proud," said Steve Burkholder, CEO of Screamer Hats. "He finished last season with a bang and is right back at this year. He’s been a great addition to our team of riders and a big asset to Screamer both on the snow and in helping us stay in touch with what the very best riders in the world are looking for from our products. We’re looking forward to another great winter season with Crispin." |
